Many
times the media reported a bunch of Nigerian men were raided by law enforcer for scamming people.
Within the realm of social media, their modus operandi is simple, create a fake account using mostly Caucasian images as profile pictures. If the target is women they would use a man's photo, and if they target victim is a man they would usually use sexy women pictures.
Year after year we hear stories about people falling for scams because they wanted to get wealthy or trying to get life partners. Many times the narrative on how they were fooled for the scams are bewildering, often we asked ourselves why are the victims so gullible that they can't sense any suspicion.
A con-man is brilliant in initiating new
ways to con people, apart from that, people are still being gulled by
con-men with old tactics - romance scam. Mostly, the victims are women
whom are lonely and seeking love partner. In fact, this type of scam is
the favorite. People who are desperate are the easiest because they
would spend hundred of thousands by wiring their lifetime saving to
another part of the world to an anonymous con-man that used alluring
words.
Internet scams are a big industry.
Other main the factor why many intelligent individuals failed to see they have been duped into a fraud scheme is that the scheme was developed until it becomes so convincing and real such as the pyramid scheme.
Despite many warnings especially the
most repeated connotation on how to identify a fraudulent scheme is when
the reward is too good to be true while the process doesn't involve
hard work people, they all are scams. But still, people tend to ignore
their doubt sensory and fall for the scam instead.
This sensory of doubt is not only being
ignored by the gullible, in fact people who excel in their career such
as doctors, lawyers, businessman have actually fallen for the obvious
trap.
